چکیده
Introduction: Lagenaria siceraria has various pharmacological effects like antioxidant, anti-hyperglycemic, anti-ulcer, anti-cancer, hepatoprotective, antimicrobial, anti-hyperlipidemic, anti-inflammatory and cardioprotective activities is used to treat diseases diabetes, jaundice, piles, ulcers, hypertension, colitis, insanity, skin diseases.Context purpose of the study: The aim present study was evaluate phytochemical content, antioxidant activity, DNA damage hepatoprotective (LS)plant’s parts explore their nutraceutical value. Methods: Phytochemical content measured by estimation total phenolics, carotenoids, ascorbic acid, protein carbohydrates while were investigated assaying parameters free radical scavenging lipid peroxidation, superoxide anion reducing power, protection assay. Hepatoprotective activity LS leaf cell viability, dismutase malondialdehyde nitric oxide formation. Results: Among tested plant samples, leaves showed high contents whereas fruits have carbohydrate contents. Evaluation in different that properties as compared other parts. L. also against Fenton’s reagent well UV induced hydroxyl radical’s damage. To test acetaminophen, hepatocellular toxicity extract concentrations 2.5, 5.0 7.5 μg/104 cells administered cultured hepatocytes before acetaminophen exposure. experimental results restores reduces formation alone treated cells. Conclusion: Our findings suggest plants potential damage-protective activities. Hence, part this may be food applications provide nutritional health benefits, liver care herbal formulations. Keywords: Antioxidant, Hepatocytes, Lipid Total phenolics

Antioxidant and Hepatoprotective Properties of Tofu (Curdle Soymilk) against Acetaminophen-Induced Liver Damage in Rats
The antioxidant and hepatoprotective properties of tofu using acetaminophen to induce liver damage in albino rats were evaluated. Tofus were prepared using calcium chloride, alum, and steep water as coagulants. The polyphenols of tofu were extracted and their antioxidant properties were determined. The weight gain and feed intake of the rats were measured. The analysis of serum alanine aminotra...

متن کاملHepatoprotective activity of phloretin and hydroxychalcones against Acetaminophen Induced hepatotoxicity in mice
Polyphenolics form a major part of the dietary antioxidant capacity of fruits and vegetables have been identified as chemopreventive or anticancer agents. Hydroxychalcones are polyphenols abundantly distributed throughout the plant kingdom and are compounds with two aromatic rings (benzene or phenol) and an unsaturated side chain. In the present study, effect of phloretin (apple major fl...
